SPURS WIN
ok a couple things to add
1) the main page (www.elscorcho.org) has a flashing asian man. only geoff fully understands him. or rather, only geoff gets it. but you can all get it too! click on the banner, and read through the site. its very very very funny. very very. in a "laughing at" kind of way.
2) i have a few sites i think people should go to
nitin's blogspot thing - this is nitin's "blog" (worst word ever), but lots of other people post too. very political, used to be way slanted to the right, but its becoming more balanced - stupid nitin posts more than everyone else so it is still sort of conservative.
plastic - a really interesting idea, the more people who use it, the better the site becomes. again, news-oriented. i like this site a lot
buddyzoo - this is another site that needs everyone to use it in order to be successful. its a huge aim experiment. just post your damn buddylist so i get more popular. i wanna be #1!!
also, nba finals - say what you will, ugly, bad offense, blah blah. lets face it - the spurs are a very good team, capable of playing up to the mavericks or down with the nets, but they are not a great time because they don't consistently play to their maximum ability - they always play excellently on defense, but their offense sucks when the opposing offense does not force them to be good. silly spurs
i'm glad they won though :)

re: heres to the admiral
As boring and painful to watch as the NBA finals was, I think we should give a tip-of-the-cap to David Robinson. Not only does he go out the way he deserves to go out (having played his best basketball in years over those 6 games and with a second championship) but he made me laugh out loud by yelling, immediately after winning the title "all the people of san antonio know what I am going to say now...THANK THE LORD cause he helped us through this." Did all the people of San Antonio REALLY know he would say that? Couldn't he have said something like "This is for the people of San Antonio" or "it feels great to end my career on top" or "you're welcome for the school"? Also, would it have killed Tim Duncan to recognize Robinson during his MVP acceptance speech? Robinson was solid through the series, and, until Duncan was drafted, David Robinson=San Antonio Basketball. And last, but not least, every time Tony Parker is interviewed, he is asked to "say something in french," but no one ever asks Dirk to speak German or Dikembe to speak whatever language it is he speaks. I thought we hated the french now?
