other than the mozart and to a lesser extent the tricky, all the albums i'm listening to now suck. i'm gonna try out the new eve 6 and the new finger eleven and some other stuff, but everything i've listened to has been generic crap and has done nothing to impress me. and then i see the riaa saying record sales suck cuz of mp3s. no, they suck cuz who the hell wants to shell out $13-$18 for that goddamn shitty smile empty soul cd? i mean, the single is catchy enough, so it gets radio play, but it is terrible after that, it sounds like 30 other bands from the vocals to the guitars to the thoroughly uninteresting drums. roar!
i hope the other cds i listen to are good (i'll post later today or put something in the responses)... i know i have my jane's addiction, if nothing else.

eve 6 was predictable, but i like their sound, so i don't mind too much. i mean, at least they still have a distinct sound, even if their songwriting is a little stale. i liked the finger eleven a lot more (probably because geoff liked them and i was influenced beforehand), as they had interesting melodies and good variety. also, they don't sound like they are forcing it as much.
jane's addiction STILL wins though, cuz its really good. i looked into getting lollapalooza tickets when i read they weren't selling well, but they still cost $50-$70 here (EACH), so f that.
