i'm at work right now, it's going pretty well. i need to talk to my boss about my schedule, and how i can't do much until after break. hopefully this well be offset by my goal of working twice a week, as opposed to my current once a week, next semester.

music.elscorcho.org is in need of a design and ... well, it's basically in need of coming into being. so i'm gonna work on that in between research and football this weekend. i'm thinking my focus will be on osu-michigan, then research, with a little music.elscorcho.org in between. whee!

yeah, go buckeyes, btw.

school is being hard and busy, but i think i'll be able to get through it. i'm not dying in comp170, which is a nice surprise (it is the standard theory of computation course in case you were wondering), and cms is a no-brainer and classics isn't terrible. however, comp106 is the surprise hard course of the semester. i think i need to start planning ahead in that class and stop coding everything last minute. the object-oriented-ness is blowing my mind.

on a slightly different note, i recently got the new mario kart game for the gamecube. it isn't spectacular, but it is nostalgic and pretty fun. it definitely seems like a kiddie game (more so than any other nintendo game, by far). regardless, it is still a lot of fun to play with other people, though against the computer it isn't as fun (and me not being that good yet isn't helping). it is definitely the best four player gamecube game i have, since we never play nba street 2 so we don't know how amazing that game is (could be?), and tiger is a little less approachable (ie ryan never plays it, so it doesn't count).

furthering the video game fun, i kind of want a game boy advance sp. i have a gameboy already, but it is pretty much useless unless i'm sitting right on my couch and its hooked up to the cube. that is fine for when final fantasy comes out (february, you will hear more about it i'm sure), but it isn't helpful for, say, the 8 hours of overall flight time i have for thanksgiving break. i guess it is fair to note that i don't have these long "trips where i'm not driving and have nothing to do but sit" that often. however, on all the video game sites i visit (and there are a ton of them, i'm a wee-bit obsessed, its like me with commas and parentheses but times 1000), i read nothing but praise for the gba sp, which many, many people call their favorite console. it has a retro-cool library of games (if you ignore the bad, bad, bad games that are out there and focus on the great ones instead), and that appeals to me. also, i feel like i'm missing out on some sweet snes action, and this is the second time around (i have a sega genesis, never had a snes). and finally, a little portable rpg loving seems pretty sweet to have around (doesn't it, ryan?).

anyways, i want a gba sp. i might get one this week. i'm crazy.

that is all. look for music.elscorcho.org soon, but not quite yet.
