happy birthday vaani

saturday night was real real fun. emi was up for the weekend, and since my camera was incapacitated, i only have words to record the events of the evening.

we started out watching unc-duke, or other various tv. then, motivation hit. parker came over. ryan came in. jon sat. we decided to go to john harvard's in harvard square, just for something new and interesting. parker drove down, we found a good spot right near border and fire&ice, so the evening had good karma from the get go.

went down to jh, but it was packed enough, enough that we couldn't get a table to watch the end of the unc-duke game. so, we overheard someone else say "grafton street", so we went there.

while grafton st. was not as fancy as the nice bars downtown, it was pretty upscale. however, we snagged a table, didn't order any food (pricey!), got a round of drinks (everyone but me! i kept my promise.), and watched duke pull it out. then we realized that grafton street, along with being pretty high-class and expensive, was also packed. so we scooted.

next stop, border cafe. such a great call. appetizers, chips and salsa, and margaritas around the table. sooo solid. cajun popcorn shrimp is the shiiiiiit.

parker was in no shape to drive, so i took the keys. due to how we were parked, i had to drive through the square before i could leave it. this gave parker the opportunity to yell "safety school!" and "yale rules!" at pretty much anyone he saw. that was... nice.

then we went to sligos. they don't make irish car bombs anymore, so we left pretty fast.

thats 4 bars, for anyone counting. i'm niv by the way. i realize that some of you don't realize the blatant irony that surrounds my life, so, just spelling it out for you guys :)

i can hear thad saying "i don't get it". hehe.

so after sligos, we went down to tufts, so parker could yell at some more kids. "safety school!" at DU. and at kids on the porch of 4 warner. and at some random other kids. good times, parker.

then we got home, and the usual festivities occured around the house.

god, what a good night.

um, so about my camera...

yeah it broke, and it takes "artsy" pictures now, instead of useful ones. however, my mother, ever the sympathetic one, bought me a new, fancy, canon s400. snicker all you want over my undue pampering, it's still a sweet camera. so yeah, i should be getting that next week sometime. woo.
