so i've not been great to chad as far as promises go, but i did watch the basketball game last night, and so i'll share some comments, mainly because i told chad i would.

i'll use the peter king, things i think i think type column.

i think ben wallace is more than just a strong presence at the 4 in a weak conference (kenyon martin). i think he's really, really good defensively. like rodman good.

i think rip hamilton is still overrated.

i think the lakers supporting cast will always find a way to pull it out over a series as long as shaq and kobe do the large majority of the grunt work.

i think derek fisher wishes he was as clutch as robert horry.

i think rick fox was more important to this lakers team than i thought.

i think the fact that hamilton and sheed have done basically nothing and the pistons still gave the lakers two games, scoring 85 or more in both, is pretty damn impressive.

i think sheed best come to play when the series goes back to detroit, because unlike hamilton, he actually has game.

i think the pistons are amazingly good on defense when they are on, which is a testament to the willingness to work and hustle. i think they suck complete ass on offense and can't make open shots and stayed in the game last night at the end slash maintained a 2-3 point lead because of second chance points, aka because of ben wallace.

i think i am a big fan of ben wallace.

ok, that's it, i wanted to end on a strong ben wallace note, because he was (other than luke walton, who i don't wanna talk about because page 2 already covered him) the big performer in my mind last night. well and kobe, but whatever, i knew before the game last night that kobe was good. ben wallace was a surprise.
