No, wait, that actually happened. The good news is Theo Epstein saved some cash on the remainder of Garciaparra's contract and has his eye on bankrolling a musical about to hit Broadway.

this is from page 2. i agree with this assessment whole-heartedly. this nomar trade pretty much guarantees a non-playoff year, i think.

in other news, i've changed the default theme, and removed the theme selector. that's just temporary. i had to, because i added elements to the page that the older styles wouldn't have liked. so, here's my question. when i bring the theme selector back, do you want alternate layouts, or just alternate colors? let me know, so i can make future themes accordingly.

i'll have a banner graphic up at the top soon enough. possibly the eyes again, since chad liked them so much.

i told the guys here at monster that i might get a job offer in the next week from verdasys. first, a quick run down of verdasys - qa job, in waltham, decent pay i think, one more interview upcoming before i know if i get an offer. anyways, i told brian this, and he told me there's about a 50% chance, a pretty good but not in the bag chance that i'll get an offer from monster sometime this week.

i can't even tell you how happy this made me.
