i clearly have put some time into this site, both programming and design. i'm fairly happy with the latest theme i've come up with, but it seems that not everyone is using it. for example, i asked both geoff and jen and they were using the "bright" theme, a theme which i thought was kind of cheesy and, well, over.
upon hearing this, i decided that i'm completely out of touch with my target demographic. so i have a few questions for you so that i may come back in touch with you.
1) why do you read this site? is it for the personal updates, the retarded rants, or because you hope i might say something smart once? or of course, none of the above.
2) what theme do you use, and why?
3) what do you wish i did more of and less of? (relates to 1)
4) if there was one thing i could change of these - navigation, comment system, how posts are presented - which would it be and why?
5) anything else? let me know, please.
this exercise doesn't work if you don't comment. i know there are a few of you who avoid the commenting... but cut me some slack this one time, ok?

well we've talked a bit already about what I like and don't like, but i'll add more.
i)personal updates, entertainment.. there's a lot of nostalgia that comes with elscorcho too. A lot of the time I check to see if thad or someone replied to one of your rants by ripping into you (niv), which makes me laugh :)
ii) stoic. when you first started coming out with more themes i stayed with bright, but at the time i didn't feel connected to elscorcho as i do now. now that I check it more or less daily i like to see how your creativity is progressing. Plus i'm hoping the theme will start reflecting mood, which gives more of the personal 'this is niv's inner self' that we come here for.
iii) more is better, generally. I like posts that generate lots of discussion, about random things like how spanish people pronounce 'assorted.'
iiii) I'd like to see a mood-indicator somewhere. probably something along the lines of color shading, but it could be an emoticon, a different banner, or even streaming music. I liked how when you got good news about the job you just changed all the colors around cuz you were happy :)

i dont care about the theme. i really couldn't even notice if it's been changed since soph. year? has it? hehe
more gossipy stuff and more stuff that sparks discussion. plus more stuff that talks about me? hehe, i like seeing my name in print.

1) personal updates and rants about your life. i hear plenty of rants about other things in our deca-hourly emails, but we never seem to talk about our lives. this is a good place to see what you are up to.
2) the main one cause you update it the most and i like following hte changes you make.
3) more personal stuff. i mean, not more private, just more of the stuff that relates to you personally.
4) i think comment titles should be used in the "recent comments" list.
