nformation overload

-6:15 drive home, listening to the sox jump up on the yankees
15-8:30 watched the sox-yankees go back and forth and leave so many runners on base that it made billy beane realize moneyball doesn't work.
30-9:15 started jumping over to the nlcs game on fx, so i vaguely noticed woody williams and brandon backe just going back and forth, not giving up much of anything in terms of baserunners. much better baseball over on fx, but i was already 'involved' with the sox game.
15-10:30 mnf started so i tried, with little success, to incorporate that into my cycle. i soon gave up and started alternating between watching large chunks of the nlcs and watching large chunks of the alcs, rather than take the pitch by pitch approach that i would have gone for if i was watching with other people.
30-11 sox finally put something together, so i started jumping between the two at every pitch. as geoff pointed out, the timing was working out really well for a while there.
-11:30 watched the end of the nlcs. everyone is going to talk about how amazing that sox game was, but give me the nlcs game every day of the week.
30-12:10 finally baseball was over, and having basically given up on following mnf, i decided to play some fifa with geoff. by 11:40 we decided that xbox live was going to be way too laggy to play, so i played a couple of games on my own. by 12:10 i realized i should probably be in bed.
10-12:30 throwaway decision - turn on the football game before bed. about 2:45 left, 28-21 rams with a 2nd down in bucs territory - run, stuffed, 2 minute warning, run, stuffed, 1:14 left, fg attempt, missed by gimpy kicker, bucs get the ball around the 34 with 1 minute to go. i go into detail because there's no way anyone even thought about mnf after the baseball games last night. anyways, the bucs got down to the 15 before tim brown fumbled the ball maybe a third of a second before his knee hit the ground, basically ending the game with 24 seconds left. pretty crazy game though, and griese looked good.

so i think i've had enough sports for a while. at least until 8:19 tonight
