so we're gonna start with the whole atlantic city thing.

last thursday nitin called me while i was driving home. he asked me if i wanted to go to nyc and atlantic city on friday.

i finally said i'd definitely go sometime on friday.

clearly this story seems like its going to be some sort of amazing, crazy adventure. but really, it was quite the opposite. nitin and i drove down, we picked up drew, went down to soho and met up with seidman for an hour, then crashed at drew's apartment. woke up early saturday, watched a couple of movies while drew and aaron were off playing basketball, then left for AC (nitin, myself, drew, and drew's friend kal(cal?)). we got popeye's on the way.

once in AC we made a beeline for the borgata, which is apparently the only 5-star hotel in new jersey. it's also a very pimp casino.

i don't have any pictures. i apologize.

we got down to the poker room around 5. i didn't get to play until 7:30 or 8. i saw some huge hands, saw nitin waste some money on blackjack, and generally just took in the sights and sounds of the casino. it wasn't cheesy themed. it was just nice, very professional. i liiked it.

i sat down at the poker tables and went up almost immediately. i was cruising up around $350 (i bought in for $300) for a while, but after a couple of brutally poorly played hands by me i ended up down to $150. i made a strong comeback, including one $200 pot (i had AJo, flop came Jxx, turn came A and i went all in against one player who didn't call me with his KK), and i finished up $22. i stopped around midnight. i spent half my winnings on dinner, and the other half was spent last night on quarters for laundry. i want to go back and play more.

honestly... nothing happened of note. trilling and schwartz and schefft were around. i took a good chunk of change off of trilling's friend (how's that for a first impression).

at like 1 we decided to drive back to nyc. then nitin and i drove home. we stopped twice to sleep and between AC and NYC we saw the most insane man ever. nitin called hiim "the best person i have ever met", but we didn't talk to him. i can't do him justice at all by describing him, so i'm going to just move on.

i know i built him up. i've trapped myself. seriously, let's move on.

wait, there's nothing else.

see? this was the most boring spur of the moment casino trip ever.
