so monster's office is pretty big. the top 3 stories in like 3 or 4 different buildings in this complex. good-sized. thus, we have a decent intercom system. recently, this intercom system has been used by the front-desk receptionist. last year i think i heard a total of 3-4 pages all year. this year, you regularly hear one or two a day. i think something just happened to change all that though.

"phil mccracken, please call the operator. phil mccracken, please call the operator"

more than a few people asked if one of the fishbowl guys (aka me or this other kid mike) did it. we can not claim credit for such a brilliant move.

the irony is this - we all have outlook. if you press ctrl+shift+b or go to the tools menu down to address book, you can see everyone who works for monster. you can type in a last name and *boom* immediate satisfaction. given this amazing technology, the receptionist didn't even check if there was anyone with the last name mccracken at monster. there isn't.
