i'm under attack from gambling spammers. a solution to eliminating comment spam that does not require log-ins for anyone who wants to post a comment is beyond me right now, so i'm leaning towards implementing an often thought about but never created elscorcho user system.
as far as my computer goes - the C: drive was failing, so getting the new 120gb drive was the right move. luckily, my drive didn't completely fail, so i got my email, school documents, and other random junk copied over no problemo. i need to copy a few more things, but i'd say i'm 80% done with this project, and soon i'll be able to retire the bad drive. one of the benefits is now i have a clean install of windows xp at home. it's nice to soak in the few days that windows will run fast, before it gets bogged down under the weight of its own machinations.
feel free to yell at me about how to kill comment spam without killing comments!

re: stuff
An additional input thingy for real users (I hate those image ones) but I did see a slightly humorous one.
"If you are human please answer this; What is two plus six?" [input]
really simple math, heh. but to impliment it you need sessions (or something to track it on the server side so you can verify the anser is right!) You know what I'm sayin?
To impliment users you need sessions too, so either way! Sessions! :p
