so i would consider the current iteration of niv.elscorcho.org to be version 6. there was version 1, a "pre-elscorcho" extension of my aim profile. version 2 was the first site i developed in college, still before i registered the domain - it took on the journal form (back in 2000!). version 3 was the blue on blue that was with me for the end of freshman year through the end of sophomore year. junior year, new roomies, and off-campus housing brought on version 4, the only version to have multiple people entering stuff on my site. i guess those posts are still hiding back at the beginning of the database that is currently being used.

anyways, i bring all this up because while i carelessly discarded versions 1 through 4 (and now regret doing so), i have kept version 5 around. since it uses the same database as version 6, it is a completely usable site. i'm not gonna update it or develop it anymore, and when using it you should keep in mind that it is not the site that reflects my current state. it reflects how i was at a certain point in time, but it is not me now.
