i guess the tribe's season was not meant to be. it's ok though. next year is going to be incredible. it's not like, as geoff and i have discussed, the 2001 campaign when the window was closing. the window is just opening.
yesterday around 8, after the last pitch of the 2005 mlb regular season had been pitched, according to stattracker i was tied with thad for first place in our fantasy baseball league, 3 points ahead of the reigning champ, geoff. and yes, geoff's team would have been better if he remembered he had manny and i had realized he didn't remember he had manny. regardless, it seemed that thad had lost 2 points and i had gained a half point on the day, tying us at 90. when i woke up today, however, i found that after some last second calculations or some such tomfoolery, thad had only lost 1.5 points, giving him the crown for this season with 90.5 points. considering i was down below chad sometime in mid-june, languishing in 8th place before the all-star break, this was definitely a successsful season. i built off my third place finish from last year, helped stop geoff from three-peating, and gave thad a major run for his money. who knows, maybe they'll adjust the scores again at some point.
i don't know why i talk to myself.
i always know what i'm going to say.
i get all numb when she sings it's over
