chad returns with (somewhat limited) coverage of what happened yesterday. i was at the bc-wake forest game he mentions. the game was much more amazing than chad summed up, mostly because chad probably has no idea what happened in that game.
damn, that game was incredible. espn has a good recap. let me just add that despite the constant rain i was in good spirits, mostly because our seats were in the second to last row behind the north endzone, and thus we were underneath an overhang... and completely dry. you should go read about that game though. actually, i'll go ahead and add that on the winning td catch, the wr was as freakin' close to being out of bounds as possible. also, wake's running game was effective against FSU and was pretty good yesterday - do not make the mistake chaddles did by just assuming they suck ass. though, they aren't very good.
also, i just saw the astros somehow beat the cardinals in game 5, 2-1, to go up 3-1 in the series. the way that game ended was unbelievable.
the planets have aligned. i actually sat and watched on tv 5 amazing finishes in college and pro football as well as mlb. i saw highlights for three or four other college games that ended incredibly well. i saw highlights for great endings to two other nfl games ... and i haven't even watched sunday night countdown yet!
this is why sports are great. give me the real human drama ten times over any of the other scripted crap that is on tv.
best sports weekend ever.

re: yeah...about that wake game...
Wake-BC wasn't offered on TV in Chicago, as we were busy with Northwestern-Purdue, OSU-MSU, Wisco-Minn, Mich-PSU, USC-ND, and some SEC games (CBS always gives us lots of SEC which I rarely watch).
But yeah...what a weekend. Great college football games...great NFL games (the end of the Pittsburgh-Jax game was FAN-tastic...especially for anyone who HATES the Steelers with a passion). Even good baseball games.
And the Angels couldn't catch a break...sad...but they got outplayed, so...whatever.
