so i had a dream about chicken fries.
i woke up and forgot to bring my lunch to work.
a sign, if ever there was one.
i found the nearest bk; it's not too far. i drove down there and got some chicken fries. more on those later, but first a digression to discuss asshole drivers. i was in a two lane road headed north. there was a turn lane and two lanes headed the opposite direction to my left. an old lady was trying to turn left across the two northbound lanes ahead of me. she was waiting for a little bit, but started to creep into oncoming traffic. rather than brake very hard and let her turn, i drove around her. there weren't any cars behind me, so i figured she could just turn then and it'd be fine, rather than brake hard and possibly spill my (prophesized) chicken fries all over the floor of my car. so i go around her, and as i go by her i can clearly see her mouthing the words "you asshole"
she was accentuating the words like a cartoon character. it was pretty clear. also she was old enough to be my grandmother i'd guess.
so strangely enough i can't stop thinking about it. i don't feel bad for what i did. in fact, i think what i did helped her and me both - i moved as quickly as i could past her so she could turn, and i didn't brake hard at all. other options were me hesitating and slowing down, leaving both of us in a state of confusion, or me stopping hard and her turning, which i think would be me doing her a favor on the road. so... why would she call me an asshole for not doing her a favor?
anyways, the burger king chicken fries are fine. they taste just like bk chicken tenders, except they are long and narrow, making them much more fun to eat. they also feel less dense because of this. the actual chicken is the same though - much better than mcdonalds and worse than wendys. nothing too exciting, really. oh well.
so the big news that i would like to share is the brand new music.elscorcho.org. yes, it needs a catchier name. however, navigating and overall using that site is no longer a chore. so, check it out. now.
