duke is the #1 seed overall. i'm not a huge fan of that, i think uconn deserved it more. if nova won the big east tourney, i woulda taken them... but duke? meh. i guess cuz they won the acc tourney they eked out over uconn.

atlanta bracket! southern is the 16 seed. congrats guys, good luck with duke.

holy shit gw is an 8 seed. they will play unc-wilmington. god gw is underrated. i think they'll beat duke in round 2. syracuse is a goddamn 5 seed. this is unbelievable. and aggies just made it off the bubble in a 12 seed. both those teams suck. cuse should be a 7 seed and the aggies shouldn't be in the tourney.

texas is the 2 seed in this group! about as good as they could have hoped for. nothing too fun... iowa is the 3 seed... wvu got the 6 seed, which is probably a little low for them. i'm still kind of shocked that gw is all the way down at 8. cuse-a&m should be pretty good... only because they both are OVERRATED. cal-nc state is the 7-10 game. should be a decent game too.

ok oakland's coming next. i guess the 1 seed in this group is memphis?

sonic ads are pretty good. too bad there aren't any sonics out in boston. geoff says he won't go to sonic because the whole 50s girls on rollerskates delivering food to your car thing is weird. i can't argue with that. also geoff has a mohawk. or did for a hour or so.

oakland's 16 seed (and possible memphis victim) IS... oral roberts! i think that's pretty low for a 21-11 team. i guess oru's conference sucks. BUCKNELL IS A 9!!! yay! they were a 14 seed last year, and should be a 7 if the committee didn't suck. hehe. the 8 is arkansas ... meh.

pitt is a 5 seed out of the oakland bracket and they have the unenviable task of playin a good kent state team. kansas is the 4 seed, which is also low i think. and they get to play bradley! looks like the mvc is gonna get some love. 2 seed is freakin ucla. what? ucla. yes. what a fucking joke. they play the belmont bruins who got the 15 seed. bruin on bruin action. marquette (7) vs bama (10) is the other game down there. 3 seed is zaga. can't believe ucla is higher than zaga. zaga isn't happy about this slight, just saw them on tv. xavier is the 14 seed, zaga should handle them. indiana is the 6 seed!!! wow thats pretty high. i want this hoosier team to do well. i like mike davis... they get san diego state in round 1. should be another good game.

zaga is a 3 seed even though they challenged themselves all season. ucla is a 2 seed even though the 6 seed wvu kicked their asses on national tv in ucla. i mean, morrison is an ass, but CMON. really a travesty.

its fun that cbs goes in to and comes out of commercial with ncaa highlights. i got to see that crazy uab play earlier, from 2004. if you don't know what i'm talking about... well i can't put it in words. but at least 75% of you are nodding your heads saying "yessss". i hope they show it over and over. i'd pay $5 on google video to have a clip of that play forever. maybe $10. geoff, thoughts?

ahh the tiger shot from masters, when it sat on the lip and just took its sweet time to fall in. man if cbs didn't use the old man "let's not have vibrant colors like every other network" filter for their sports, they'd be a lot more fun. they have the rights to some pretty damn good stuff.

i'm welcomed back to new york! time for the d.c. bracket. uconn gets to play in philly in front of nova fans. good for them. and albany is the 16 seed! UAB is PLAYING KENTUCKY IN ROUND ONE. GOD THATS SO PERFECT.

huskies are the 5 seed and get to play utah state. i have no opinion on this.

illinois-airforce is the 4-13 matchup, and i think illinois got slighted. VOLS ARE A 2 SEED. yes, vols and illinois should have switched for sure. winthrop is the 15 seed! wichita state is the 3rd mvc team to make it, at a 7 seed. seton hall SOMEHOW made it into the tourney as a 10 seed. seton hall and air force (apparently) shouldn't have made this tourney.

carolina is a 3 seed, which i agree with wholeheartedly. michigan state is the 6 seed, setting up a very cool 2nd round game to say the least. george mason is the 11 seed and murray state is the 14 seed, MEH.

cbs guys are idiots. they are pimping the possible uconn-kentucky second round game, ignoring the much better potential spartans-tarheels second round game AND ignoring the amazing kentucky-uab rematch from two years ago. let's see, pimp blue-blooded teams that aren't that good this year (kentucky) and ignore actual good matchups.

geoff told me that billy packer just said he liked the arizona-wisconsin 8-9 matchup. that of course would have to be in the other bracket. good work packer.

this is a strong ass bracket, though vols at 2 is really bad. having uab-kentucky in round one only means a ton more replays of that play i mentioned earlier, so pay attention for it. really is amazing.

so nova's in the minny bracket, and they play the winner of the play-in game. which i THINK makes them the #1 team overall, even though duke was announced as the #1 team overall. monmouth vs hampton is the playin game. poor guys.

arizona is the 8 seed. committee loved the pac ten for no good reason. and of course wisconsin is the 9 seed, which is about right. nevada gets the gift of a 5 seed, which is pretty right i think. montana is the 12 seed. yay big empty states.

bc is the 4 seed, and they get pacific. that game will be FUN. osu is the #2 seed, which is really solid i think. dunno how they get a 2 and illinois got only a 4. davidson is the 15 seed. georgetown is the 8th team out of the big east (record!) and play the 4th team out of the MVC, northern iowa. that was the 7-10 game. gators are a weak 3 seed (lost to usc twice! scored 49 pts earlier today!) and play southern alabama. meh. oklahoma is the 6 seed, which i guess is fine. uw-milwaukee, who geoff hates with a passion, is the 11 seed.

looks like a couple of deserving teams got left home. cincy gettin snubbed makes cbs guys unhappy. mvc only got 4, and should have gotten creighton and possibly missouri state in. not bad overall though. and more air force bashing is being done. WHY DOES CBS HATE AMERICA AND NOT SUPPORT OUR MILITARY?????

so yeah... its the tourney, so it should be good, but a lot of teams got slighted badly and at least one team (seton hall, in my opinion) shouldn't have made this tourney at all.

alright, cbs has filler from here on out. like i said, some mistakes were made, but i don't think too many teams didn't make it that shouldn't have made it. maybe just one or two. as long as the right teams are let in the door, that's the most important thing. lemme know your thoughts!
