such a good weekend in kc.... would love to post alllll about it

but i'm right now in ohare
even though i was supposed to fly out yesterday at 5
so now i've learned a few things

1) i need to carry a notebook around
2) airlines suck

ok i didn't "learn" either of those things, as much as i was "strongly reminded" about them

anyways... kc was good. i'm too tired to think about writing about it in full, but i will hit the bulletpoints

1a) after getting to the finals at least once and losing to portugal in penalty kicks, and not getting out of even the group stage countless times, we finally beat world cup 2006 without saving our progress with team usa. VERY satisfying.
2b) kc bbq is delicious
3c) i'm rebounding from the awful awful vegas trip, in that i won around $60 on video poker and blackjack on friday and i won around $15 on craps/blackjack/video poker (technically i lost $100 at blackjack) - chad had the best roll i've ever personally seen in craps, hitting like 7 points in a row and covering all blackjack losses
4d) chad was talking to sinead (A SINEAD REFERENCE) and she asked him what it meant if a guy responds to "what are you up to" with "derkins". it took about 5 minutes of laughing before chad told me that "derkins" was a bar. think about that.
5e) KEEP THINKING, ITS FUNNY
6f) DERKINS!
7g) mildly excited about browns draft. i wish i was a jets fan so i could be really fucking happy about the results of the draft.
8h) o'hare's wireless is fucking shitty. given how big the airport was, you'd think they wouldn't have a situation where people get disconnected a LOT and the login process requires like 15 http transactions (ITS VERY INEFFICIENT)
9i) i'm sure i'm missing things.... geoff and chad will have to fill in a lot of gaps.

so, kc was real fun, o'hare is not fun, and i haven't had a full night's sleep in like a week and a half. also the airport plaza ramada is nicer than you would think.
