all this crap is going down tonight. it might be back up sometime tomorrow if you ask nicely. i'm moving from brighton, and at some point in the next 2 weeks jen will be joining me in our new 2 bedroom in somerville.
i'm too tired and cranky to write a real post, for the following reasons:
1a) this is my first day at work since last friday (worked from home yesterday)
2b) i have been packing half-assedly since last friday and must complete all packing tonight
3c) i'm tired
oh right, so the big 25 passed by and i got promoted at work shortly thereafter, so last friday i decided to buy myself a nice little present. i was all charlie brown on the situation for a while, but i finally settled on the canon powershot s80. the primary force behind the new camera was the fact that blown up, my pictures from hawaii didn't look as sharp as i wanted. the second force (and now we're turning this into a full post, despite aforementioned crankiness) was this:
remember this post? well, you may have never read it. anyways, focusing on one of those interests i listed off at the top there seemed like a good thing to do. putting a financial committment into one of my many interests-that-could-be-a-hobby-and-then-a-serious-hobby was something that really needed to be done. so i thought, and i thought, and i charlie brown'd the whole thing for a while (wishy washy, people, wishy washy) and i decided that yes, i take photos, i do a reasonably good job at it, and i would like the execution to be hampered by my lack of skill(z) way more than by my lack of a good camera. i know, it's a shoddy workman who blames his tools. but having a camera that isn't really good at focusing in large outdoor-type scenes and produces craploads of artifacts in high resolutions... well, that can't be blamed on ME, right? right.
so now i have another weapon in the arsenal.
thanks for indulging me.
it's all going down
