i didn't watch last night's game. i woke up and saw that the heat pulled it out in overtime, because the mavs made mental errors and howard/dirk continue to SUCK
WHY DO YOU GUYS CONTINUE TO SUCK? YOU WERE SO FUCKING GOOD AGAINST THE SPURS
i guess howard didn't really suck, but he coulda made one of those free throws in OT at least. and dirk is significantly better than 8-19 for 20 points and 8 boards. significantly better, especially in these playoffs. even when dirk has had awful games, he's been aggressive enough to get free throw attempts. 5 free throws against a team that should not be able to defend you at all? god i'm so fucking frustrated. if the heat win the championship, the collective sound of everyone comparing wade to jordan and asking if this team is better than the lakers mini-dynasty of a few years ago might push me away from the nba for another few years.
anyways
the ending of the u.s. open was sad.
world cup was endlessly frustrating and at the same time incredibly stirring. i think the US has a strong chance of going through to the next round. not something i would have said on friday. there's no point in talking about all the terrible refereeing; it's all over the internet. there's not much to say about no eddie johnson, but to speculate that maybe mcbride is better defensively than eddie, and thus stayed on when he was clearly dog tired and also just doesn't have the skill to put somewhat difficult shots on target. regardless, i'm working from home on thursday, because i have to root for the red white and blue against ghana. gots to, gots to.
the indians fucking suck.
all i do is write about sports because nothing else happens. OH WAIT, i shall prove that to be false right now:
i went into harvard square on saturday evening, after the us game ended. other than getting a huge sense of nostalgia from the days when i used to work in harvard square or at least visit there more than once a year, i took some pictures and bought a book on photoshop. the book is called "photoshop one on one" and you can get it on amazon for cheap. if you have any interest in photoshop at all (and i don't think any of you do but who the hell knows, surprise me) this book is spectacular. it's very thorough and interesting, which are two things that not all computer books can pull off. sez me, the computer nerd.
anyways, the photoblog is alive and well, and i even got some positive comments from visitors coming to see my photofriday entry for this week. the challenge was 'automotive'.
so amidst all this "work kills my urge to do anything other than sit on my ass" bullshit, i have finally broken through and maintained a creative endeavor for 15 days straight. this is a good thing, because if my mind is left to just work and rotting, i will start hating myself real fast.
thanks for indulging me.
i hate the goddamn mavs
