i got my tv set up on friday. wait, i didn't do much. jen got my tv stand and tv set up on friday night, with some help from me (her ugly assistant, i believe). it's pretty gorgeous. i'll get pictures up at some point, but right now i'm pretty happy with the purchase.

to celebrate, thad came down and we played a crapload of smash brothers, a game i haven't touched in over a year i imagine. hot damn that game is fun. especially on a big tv.

thad and i did many things that were reminiscent of college and a life of fun. we went to a patriots preseason game (thanks yet again to my girlfriend), foxwoods (which sucked sucked sucked and i don't know why i ever think i can win in casinos), and saw "snakes on a plane" (which i didn't think was campy enough, among other things).

i don't feel like writing about all of these things, even though combined and even alone they each are post-worthy.

i just want to share that driving from foxboro to the highway saturday night, a truck cut me off and i had to brake as hard as fucking possible in my car. i did avoid the truck, who's driver, apparently, had enough of waiting behind a car turning left in the left turn lane, so he decided to fucking try and kill thad and myself.

thad pointed out that had i not gotten the brake work done, we both might have died or at least been very injured by that dickhead in the big red pickup truck.
