since i try to predict everything, here goes:

al east - yankees
sick offense and actual pitching depth. they could move to wild card or (gasp) out of the playoffs if they don't manage the rotation properly.

al central - tribe
i like the changes the tribe's made and i think they're plum out of bad luck.

al west - angels
good rotation and good enough offense. if harden is for real (as parker claims he is) the a's could easily win here.

al wildcard - red sox
manny+ortiz=too much offense, even if dice-k isn't worth the endless money (and he probably is). too many holes in the offense for me to pick them over the yankees in the east though.

nl east - mets
really strong lineup and weak pitching. the new yankees!

nl central - brewers
this is the year it all comes together - good young bats, really good pitching, and a weak division. the cubs might pull this division out, but i like the brewers a bit more.

nl west - padres
cuz fuck the diamondbacks, that's why.

nl wildcard - dbacks
ok maybe not fuck them, but ... wouldn't be shocked if the cubs or the phillies or the braves came out here too.... the nl wildcard is a bit of a crapshoot. i guess picking a nl west team is a bit of a folly, but ... onward and upward!

al playoffs
tribe over red sox in 4
i like how the pitching matches up for the most part, and the tribe's offense has way, way fewer holes.

yankees over angels in 3
wait, i picked the angels to make the playoffs?

tribe over yankees in 6
good pitching + good hitting > decent pitching + really good hitting. and honestly, the tribe offense is not far behind the yankees offense at all.

nl playoffs
mets over dbacks in 4
the mets are just too good, especially if pedro comes back with anything

brewers over padres in 5
if these teams match up, it should be a grind, ala houston-atlanta or houston-stl in the last few years.

mets over brewers in 5
i like the mets offense. i really do.

world series
tribe over mets in 6
i don't like the mets offense that much. also the AL >>>>> NL
