she is asking if there is media bias
i swear to you
on top of it, they have this douchebag attorney here who just called the accuser in the duke rape case 'allegedly black'.
now someone else is claiming there are more missing white women in america than black women, and also saying that kidnappings are more sensational (and thus more interesting) than women disappearing after socializing, IMPLYING HEAVILY that this black woman (who disappeared after a night out) is retarded and got lost or something.
i mean, this is blatant racism being pushed by cnn here. blatant, blatant racism.
i can't even form a coherent argument, this is pissing me off so much.
the one black guy who is actually saying this is race related is just as befuddled as i am i think. haha, paula zahn just said they had to move on before letting him talk, and he just said "uhh huh" very sarcastically. at least there was one sane person on cnn just now.
this is from usa today:
FBI statistics show that men are slightly more likely than women to be reported as missing, and that blacks make up a disproportionately large segment of the victims. As of May 1, there were 25,389 men in the FBI's database of active missing persons cases, and 22,200 cases of women. Blacks accounted for 13,860 cases, vs. 29,383 whites.
seriously, paula zahn should be fired. what a racist asshole.

re: what is this place?
the way you describe it here
it reads like unintentional self parody
which is kind of hilarious
i didn't see it so i think that's why i don't share your immediate and palpable sense of outrage, but i don't think paula is the problem.
firing the racist assholes dumb enough to put a face on the passively racist culture of america doesn't make the racism go away. quite the contrary; it lets the passively racist majority of the population continue to go on pretending they aren't racist.
