the indians magic number is down to 3, and playoff tickets went on sale yesterday for the ALDS. trilling, chad, and i secured 8 tickets to each of the 3 possible tribe home games. i'm pretty fired up about that, though i'm not exactly sure how i am going to get to each game. that's part of the fun!

this indians team was floundering in july and august, but now they are 7.5 up in the division and tied with the angels for the best record in baseball. meanwhile, the red sox are floundering, the yankees are giving it their all to win the al east (and thus not resting anyone) and the tigers' playoff hopes are effectively dead. also, the white sox are a mere half game ahead of the royals for last place in the division. i hate the white sox.

anyway, just indians love for today. oh, and i did a decent job predicting. not as good as thad, who will chime up soon i'm sure.

UPDATE: chad points out that as of today i have 7/8 mlb playoff teams and i also picked the nba finals. too bad i didn't have a massive nfl prediction post, i could have gone for the trifecta.
